Our Services
-
Comprehensive Assessment
Assessments can be conducted to assist with NDIS access or funding, to help identify developmental delays and aid in the creation of individualised therapy goals for your child or young adult.
-
Paediatric Occupational Therapy Intervention
Occupational Therapy helps children and young people build the skills they need to take part in the everyday activities that are most important to them—whether that’s engaging with others, learning, moving, making friends, managing emotions, or gaining independence at home, school or in the workplace.
-
Clinical Supervision
At About You OT, we are passionate about supporting paediatric occupational therapists to grow with confidence, reflection, and purpose in their paediatric practice. Our clinical supervision service offers a collaborative and supportive space to explore clinical reasoning, celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and maintain best practice aligned with neuroaffirming and child-centred care.
Meet our Director and Senior Occupational Therapist, alix.
Hello!
I’m Alix, an Occupational Therapist with over 14 years of experience supporting children, young adults, and their families in both Australia and the United Kingdom. My work has been grounded in the disability and community health sector, where I’ve had the privilege of serving as both a Team Leader and Senior Occupational Therapist.
As a mum of two, I truly value a collaborative and holistic approach — working alongside families, schools, and other professionals to provide support that is meaningful and tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
I work with children and young adults to build on their strengths and develop skills in areas such as:
Early intervention and developmental support
Motor skills and coordination
Emotional regulation and sensory processing
Social connection and relationships
Building independence in everyday life skills
Whether it’s supporting a child to develop foundational skills or helping a young adult increase their independence and confidence, my focus is always on working together in ways that honour each person’s strengths, goals, and identity.
